Is Helical Insight Affected by PHP2Shell Vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619)

Hello Team,

We are closely monitoring the recently reported PHP2Shell vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), which reportedly affect the PHP runtime and could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute remote code on vulnerable servers.

Could you please confirm whether Helical Insight is affected by these vulnerabilities?

Thank You,
Snow.

Hello Snow,

PHP2Shell (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) refers to two critical vulnerabilities in the PHP runtime that can potentially allow unauthenticated remote code execution on systems running affected PHP versions. The vulnerabilities originate in PHP’s internal memory and request-handling mechanisms.

Helical Insight is not expected to be directly affected by these vulnerabilities because its core application architecture does not rely on the PHP runtime.

Helical Insight primarily uses the following technologies:

1. Backend: Java-based application architecture.

2. Frontend: React.

3. Application framework: Java-based enterprise technologies.

4. Microservices: Python-based services, where applicable.

Since PHP is not part of the core Helical Insight application stack, the PHP-specific vulnerabilities do not directly apply to its core application components.

Thank You,
Helical Insight.
