Helical reports not working after changing domain name

Hi,

We have a java application connecting to helical reports server from domain app.example1.com and its working fine, But when we changed the domain name of the app to app.example2.com its not working.

Is there any domain based restrictions while connecting to helical reports? or do we need to allow this new domain somewhere to be able to connect to helical?

any assistance will be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Jazeem,

“Is there any domain based restrictions while connecting to helical reports? or do we need to allow this new domain somewhere to be able to connect to helical?” - no we do not have any restrictions. The same reports can be accessed via multiple domains also.

From our application point of view there is no configuration required for doing this. Like when you used with app.example1.com even then there was no configuration required at helical end. Similarly for app.example2.com also no configuration would be required from helical point of view. If it is not accessible you might have to check any incoming traffic or firewall settings.

Hi,

When we use the new domain name instead of loading reports we are taken to helical login page. If we use switch to the old domain the reports work.

Thank you

FYI, This is working when we use Firefox. Issue seems to be with Chrome. In order to get this working in Chrome as well we added a secondary URL mapping for the reporting server using example2.com domain. Now its works fine.
