When i try to install with the windows installer it prompts me that it needs java and I first have to install java. I cannot continue to install. I have windows 10 and jdk1.7.0_79 installed . Also JAVA_HOME and PATH variables are set correctly. I am a java developer and run java all the time so i am pretty sure I have installed it.

If Java is found in the System registry then HIApplication Installation starts. There is no lookup for JAVA_HOME or JRE_HOME. This is possibly a bug which can be fixed in future release of installer. Incase, you already have a tomcat or application server and database server like MySQL server in your machine, then you may use the manual installer which does not check any JAVA / JRE dependencies and assumes everything is preconfigured in end user’s system.
